What Is an E-Visa?

An e-visa is applied for online using scanned copies of your documents. You do not hand over your original passport — once approved, the visa is issued electronically. Print a copy and carry it with your passport when you travel.

Documents Required for the Malaysia E-Visa

• Passport scan: first and second (bio-data) pages, clearly scanned (JPEG format)
• Photograph: high-resolution, white background, not edited (JPEG format)
• CNIC: front and back scanned on a single page (PDF format)
• Bank statement: latest 6 months, with a balance of PKR 200,000 or more (PDF format)
• File size: each PDF should be no more than 2 MB

Do not send your original passport for the Malaysia e-visa — scans are all that's needed.

What Is a Sticker Visa?

A sticker visa is stamped or stuck into your passport by the embassy. You submit your original passport with the application, and it is returned with the visa inside once processing is complete.

Documents Required for the Malaysia Sticker Visa

• Original passport
• Photograph: high-resolution, white background, not edited
• CNIC: photocopy of your valid ID card
• Bank statement: latest 6 months, with a balance of PKR 200,000 or more

E-Visa or Sticker Visa?

For most tourists, the e-visa is quicker and more convenient because your passport stays with you. Ask our team which option suits your trip and travel history.

Tips for a Smooth Application

• Passport validity: make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your travel date.
• Scan quality: scan in colour, with all four corners visible and no glare.
• Photos: use a recent photo with a plain white background — don't edit or filter it.
• Names: check that your name is spelled exactly as it is in your passport on every document.
• Apply early: leave extra time in holiday seasons.

Requirements can change at short notice. The embassy or immigration authority may ask for additional documents, and every visa is issued at their discretion.

Visa fees are generally non-refundable once an application is submitted, even if the visa is refused.
